Senior year is the final chapter of many high school students’ careers, subsequently, many emotions come up to Seniors in their final year: ones of distant memories from lower and middle school years and the unseeable future ahead of them. Many seniors are conflicted about the upcoming school year. “It was really sad to know that it was my last first day of high school” Senior Madison Word said, “but I wouldn’t want to conquer senior year with any other group of people!”

The class of 2023 has created a strong bond over the years and with the help of the SA community, they are being supported through all their endeavors. “I feel as if we have to understand that we are growing up,” said Senior Kyla Jackson. St. Andrew’s infrastructure has created a prosperous environment for its students, “It taught me,” Senior Patten Lane said, “that I would have to put in the work to get the grade that I want”. But even still some fears are present for the senior class. “I’m most afraid of having to leave the senior year behind,” Senior Preston Daily said. “Sometimes the memories and the plans all feel like stepping stones to a near future where I’m no longer around my friends every day, and that’s what scares me the most”. However, even though fears are present that are also some things that SA seniors are excited about. “I am most excited about making this last year at SA as memorable as possible,” Senior Grace Jasinski said, “like by screaming the SA fight song with the seniors during pep rallies and supporting the student-athletes at their games!”

From thinking about what you got next for the week or preparing for the college applications right around the corner. To pep rallies in the old gym or enjoy the Friday night lights under the stars. These are just a few of the things on the mind of our Seniors, but no matter what happens, this year is going to be their best one yet. “and in that, we have come to appreciate the time we have left with each other” said Senior Kyla Jackson.
